Christopher DeGuzman

Christopher has a background in permaculture design, holistic water-management, architecture and horticulture.

“My journey into being a plant dad began in 2019. I was working at a nursery, smuggling succulent cuttings home, and plants that were bound for the trash.”

After over a year of obsessing over Geoff Lawton’s videos, and taking my PDC, and Water Harvesting Course with SDSLI, In 2022, I visited several regenerative farm-to-table demonstration sites in Jordan.

“What we gathered in Jordan were strategies of designing living systems in an arid climate, similar to the conditions we get here in Southern California. I’m now focusing on bringing these design methods we learned, along with this new awareness of what is possible to the community here in San Diego, where we can unquestionably benefit from their implementation.”

In his off duty time, Christopher sings and writes music under his monikers, “Guzmania” and “Christopher Millan.”
